certified CLT Passivehouse extension

As a certified Passive House extension, the design for this project incorporates all sustainable features to create a comfortable and eco-friendly living space.

The extension includes a mezzanine floor, connecting the open living space with high ceilings to the bedroom and study. Large triple-glazed skylights maximize natural light and views to the sky in the semi suburban setting.

The use of high-quality insulation, airtight construction, and energy-efficient, triple-glazed windows ensures that the building maintains a comfortable temperature year-round with minimal energy consumption.

The design also features rainwater reuse, which captures rainwater from the roof and reuses it for irrigation and washing machine/WC. Additionally, solar PV panels are installed on the roof to generate renewable energy, reducing the building's reliance on grid-supplied electricity.

Large windows are strategically placed to provide unobstructed views towards the large trees in the garden and natural light. The use of natural materials, such as wood cladding, further connects the building to its surroundings.
